Kyle O’Donoghue came through at the perfect time for St. John The Baptist. 

The Team 91 2021 Blaze midfielder and Cougars’ sophomore ripped home his third goal of the game in the extra frame to give St. John The Baptist a 12-11 win over Kellenberg on Tuesday.

O’Donoghue also added a pair of assists for the Cougars (6-1), who also got a goal and an assist from Connor Buschle (’19 White).

Smithtown West 17, Northport 6: Danny Caddigan (’21 Blaze) ripped home five goals, while Marc Cottage (’19 White/Wingate) added a goal and an assist and Spencer Frank (’19 White/Hartford) tacked on one goal in the Bulls’ win. Casey Fortunato (’21 Ambush) set up a Northport goal.

Patchogue-Medford 17, North Babylon 3: Adrian Rutkowski (’20 Orange) went off for Pat-Med with a four-goal performance.

Oceanside 6, Uniondale 1: Gunnar Johnson (’20 Orange) had a goal in the low-scoring affair.

Long Island Lutheran 12, Colombia Prep 1: Jackson Greene (’23 Bandits) popped a goal and two assists in the rout.

Seaford 13, Lynbrook 8: Andrew Searing (’20 Orange) chipped in a goal for Seaford.

Wantagh 12, Floral Park 8: Troy Donaghy (’22 Smash) got in on the scoring with a goal for Wantagh.

Bay Shore 10, Half Hollow Hills East 7: Jayson Tingue (’20 Crush/UMBC) shut the door for Bay Shore with eight saves. His Crush teammate, Brett Martin (Johns Hopkins) did put a pair of goals past him to go along with two assists. Sam Rothman (’21 Ambush) added a pair of assists for Hills East.

Sachem North 10, Lindenhurst 3: Matt Keegan (’21 Blaze) led the victors with a goal, while Ron Durante (’20 Orange) countered with a dozen saves for Lindy.

Sachem East 11, Commack 9: Blake Behlen (’19 Orange/Towson) put on a virtuoso passing performance for Commack with six assists to go with a goal.

Ward Melville 6, West Islip 2: Jared Paquette (’19 White/Yale) stopped 11 shots for West Islip, which also got a goal from Max Albanese (’19 White/Vassar).

Locust Valley 13, Bethpage 9: Brandon Bestany (’19 White/McDaniel) paired two goals with an assist and defenseman Alex Keener (’19 White/Saint Joseph’s) also tallied for Bethpage.

North Shore 13, Friends Academy 5: Michael Walrath (’21 Ambush) pocketed a pair of goals for Friends Academy.
