It was a fitting way for Marcus Wertheim to cap his hat trick.

The Team 91 2022 Smash midfielder and Brown commit came through in overtime with his third goal of the game to lead Smithtown East past Connetquot, 12-11, Wednesday.

Wertheim didn’t just score goals, though. He also dished out a whopping four assists to finish with a career-high seven-point day. ’21 Blaze Chris Cappelmann (Cornell) scored twice and added an assist in the win.

’23 Bandits Tyler McCarthy led the way for Connetquot with his third four-goal game of the season. ’23 Warriors Tyler Moore netted a pair of goals and set up a ridiculous BTB goal from McCarthy.

Northport 15, Commack 5

’21 Ambush Ryan McCarthy (Siena) had a monster day with three goals and four assists and ’21 Ambush Andrew Tittman (Nassau) stopped 10 shots to lead the way for Northport. ’21 Ambush Casey Fortunato bagged an assist in the win.

’24 Wolfpack Luke Breslin led Commack with two goals.

Sachem North 15, East Hampton / Bridgehampton / Pierson / Ross 8

’21 Blaze Matt Keegan (Binghamton) rang up five goals, his third game in the past four with at least a hat trick, and ’22 Smash Alex Pfeiffer (Albany) pieced together a four-goal, two-assist day in the win. ’23 Warriors Cody Suhr popped two goals for the Flaming Arrows.

’21 Blaze Danny Caddigan (Cornell) sparked Smithtown West’s massive day with a four-goal, two-assist day.

Ward Melville 10, Half Hollow Hills East 1

’21 Blaze Chris Simonton (Providence) set up three goals to kickstart the Patriots’ rout. ’21 Ambush Sam Rothman (Cortland) scored Hills East’s lone goal.
