Brett Martin and Sal Pascarella came up big for Half Hollow Hills East.
The Team 91 2020 Crush midfielder, a Johns Hopkins commit, and ’19 White LSM, a Saint Joseph’s commit, each scored twice and had two assists as the Thunderbirds upended Whitman, 13-6.
Elijah Faltz (’21 Ambush) tallied once and added an assist for the victors, who also got a goal from Sam Rothman (’21 Ambush). Pascarella and Logan Schanars (’21 Ambush) spearheaded a defense that held Whitman off the scoreboard in the first and fourth quarters.
Lindenhurst 6, Commack 5: Ron Durante (’20 Orange) came up with 14 saves and Matt Josefson (’20 Orange)buried a pair of goals as the Bulldogs nipped Commack, 6-5, in overtime Thursday for their fifth win in the past six games.
West Islip 9, Sachem North 4: Max Albanese (’19 White/Vassar) had two goals and an assist and Jared Paquette (’19 White/Yale) stuffed five shots as West Islip won for the seventh time in eight games.
Smithtown West 19, Smithtown East 7: Danny Caddigan (’21 Blaze) buried four goals and added an assist, Spencer Frank (’19 White/Hartford) dished out three assists to go with a pair of goals, and Marc Cottage (’19 White/Wingate) tacked on a hat trick and an assist as the Bulls upended their rivals.
Long Island Lutheran 18, The Masters School 6: Jackson Greene (’23 Bandits) scored once and handed out a pair of assists in the win.
Patchogue-Medford 13, Brentwood 0: Anthony Senecal (’21 Ambush) rang up five tallies and Adrian Rutkowski (’20 Orange) contributed a goal and two assists as Pat-Med blanked Brentwood.
Bay Shore 17, Floyd 5: Jayson Tingue (’20 Crush/UMBC) made five saves before ceding the way to his backup as Bay Shore cruised.
Northport 12, Connetquot 10: Tyler Cordes (’20 Crush/Navy) had a monster day for the Thunderbirds with five goals and an assist, while Tyler McCarthy (’23 Bandits) added an assist.
Portledge 10, Stony Brook School 2: Nick Jaferis (’23 Warriors) scored a goal for SBS.
