Koby Ginder‘s first game at The Brunswick School couldn’t have gone much better.

Stepping into his brother Jordan‘s role as starting faceoff man for the Bruins, Ginder won nine of 14 faceoffs against a stacked faceoff unit as Brunswick topped Penn Charter, 11-2.

Ginder also buried a goal for the nationally-ranked Bruins, who led 10-0 heading into the fourth quarter.

Smithtown West 15, Half Hollow Hills East 5: Spencer Frank (’19 White/Hartford) tucked home four goals and added an assist, Danny Caddigan (’21 Blaze) scored twice and Marc Cottage (’19 White/Wingate) chipped in a goal and an assist in the Bulls’ rout. Sam Rothman (’21 Ambush) scored twice and dished out an assist for Hills East, which also got a goal from Brett Martin (’20 Crush/Johns Hopkins). 

Sachem North 17, Brentwood 2: Matt Keegan (’21 Blaze) was on a mission for Sachem North, ripping home a hat trick to go with three assists in the blowout.

Connetquot 14, Southampton/East Hampton/Bridgehampton/Pierson/Ross 3: Tyler Cordes (’20 Crush/Navy) popped home five goals, Jack Ponzio (’23 Bandits) handed out three assists and Michael Carere (’19 White/Saint Joseph’s) tacked on two goals in Connetquot’s steamrolling.

St. John The Baptist 11, West Babylon 2: Connor Buschle (’19 White) found the back of the net twice in the win.

Oceanside 14, Mepham 5: Gunnar Johnson (’20 Orange) tallied once in the Oceanside win.

Middle Country 11, Lindenhurst 9: Matt Josefson (’20 Orange) handled the bulk of the Bulldogs’ offense with a staggering five-goal effort and Ron Durante (’20 Orange) stuffed a dozen shots sent his way.

Floyd 11, Patchogue-Medford 10: Adrian Rutkowski (’20 Orange) snapped home a pair of goals for the Raiders.
