It’s only two games into the season, but Joey Spallina is already hitting major milestones.

The Mount Sinai freshman and ’20 Crush and ’22 Smash attackman was a dominant force on varsity as an eighth grader last year, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. Tuesday, Spallina ripped home five goals and added five more assists in a 17-9 win over Commack, and in the process, reached the 100-point mark for his career.

Brandon Ventarola (’21 Blaze) scored a hat trick to go with an assist and Tyler Gatz (’21 Blaze) had two goals and two assists for the Mustangs. Blake Behlen (’19 Orange/Towson) had a pair of assists for Commack.

Smithtown West 14, Wantagh 9: Danny Caddigan (’21 Blaze) was unstoppable for the Bulls, torching the Wantagh defense for six goals and two assists as Smithtown West rolled. Spencer Frank (’19 White/Hartford) and Marc Cottage (’19 White/Wingate) each tallied a goal and two assists in the win, while Kyle Craig (’19 White/Franklin & Marshall) scored once for Wantagh.

Bellport 14, Southampton 9Shawn Wolf (’19 White/Saint Joseph’s) had the hot hand for Bellport, smashing home five goals to go with two assists, and James MacGilvray (’19 White/Western Connecticut State) tossed out a pair of assists as Bellport cruised.

Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 10, St. Dominic 9: Anthony Sand (’20 Orange/VMI) tallied a hat trick and an assist for St. Dom’s.

Floral Park 10, East Meadow 6: Chris Barry (’21 Blaze) turned in a hat trick and tossed out two assists and Joseph Giambald (’21 Ambush) paired a goal with two assists for East Meadow.

Syosset 8, South Side 7: Tommy Dolciotto (’20 Crush/Stony Brook) and Christian Lyons (’19 White/Manhattan) both scored a goal for the Braves. Brady West (’22 Smash) blasted home his first two career goals for South Side.

Port Washington 8, Long Beach 7: AJ Galassi (’19 Orange) was a beast in the Port Washington cage, stuffing 13 shots to secure the win. Trey Sofield (’20 Orange) hammered home a goal for Long Beach.

Massapequa 11, Carey 6: Angelo Petrakis (’19 Orange/Cornell) played make it, take it all day long, winning 19 of 21 faceoffs for the Chiefs. Sam Lutfi (’19 Orange/Hofstra) found the back of the net once and set up another goal.

Calhoun 13, Friends Academy 4: Nick Turrini (’19 Orange/Army) continued his hot start to the season with three goals and three assists and Kyle Munson (’19 Orange/Drexel) shut the door with 12 saves as Calhoun moved to 2-0.

Bay Shore 16, East Islip 8: Jayson Tingue (’20 Crush/UMBC) made four saves in the win for Bay Shore, who ran going away despite an incredible four-goal, four-assist day from East Islip’s John Sidorski (’19 Orange/Lehigh).

St. John The Baptist 9, Glenn 8: Justin Tiernan (’19 Orange/Lehigh) was great for Glenn with three goals and an assist and Cory Capri (’20 Orange) netted a hat trick of his own, but Connor Buschle (’19 White) sniped a goal and St. John The Baptist took home the victory.

MacArthur 9, Seaford 7: Ryan Butler (’19 White) dished out a pair of assists for Seaford.

Middle Country 11, Rocky Point 2: Teddy Accardi (’19 White/Air Force) scored once and Kyle Bonesteel (’19 White) added an assist for Rocky Point.

Stony Brook School 10, Hampton Bays 3: Nicholas Jaferis (’23 Warriors) tallied the first hat trick of his young career.
