Lucas LaForge has officially found his groove.
The Team 91 2024 Wolfpack lefty attackman has been a problem for defenses all season long as a freshman, but now, he’s REALLY picking it up. Thursday, LaForge buried five goals and added an assist as the Mustangs ran by West Islip 15-5.
It marked LaForge’s second straight five-goal game, and the rookie has scored multiple goals six times this season. ’22 Smash Joey Spallina (Syracuse) put forth his usual ridiculous scoring output with three goals and five assists. ’23 Bandits Jake Spallina was 9-for-11 at the faceoff X to go with a goal and an assist and ’22 Smash James Carretta (Georgetown) set up two goals.
Bayport-Blue Point 11, Westhampton 8
’22 Smash Jameson Smith (Johns Hopkins) provided three assists to go with a pair of goals, ’24 Wolfpack Ben Morris scored four times and ’22 Smash Gavin Locascio (UMass) tallied once. ’23 Bandits JJ Aiello chipped in an assist, while ’23 Bandits Eric Grahn stopped a shot in relief.
Chaminade 11, St. Anthony’s 10
’22 Smash Jack Flaherty (Navy) scored once and set up two assists as the Flyers exacted revenge on the Friars from their first meeting with an overtime win. ’21 Ambush Trey Berry (RPI) scored once in the win.
’21 Andrew McAdorey (Duke) paced St. Anthony’s with a hat trick and an assist, while ’23 Bandits Owen Duffy flipped that stat line for the Friars. ’21 Blaze Ryan Baudo (Western Connecticut) and ’23 Bandits Jack Ponzio each scored once and ’22 Smash Kevin Barrett (Boston U) made eight saves in split duty.

’21 Blaze Chris Barry (Hofstra) scored twice to lead the Jets to a win.

’21 Blaze Trey Sacus (Bucknell) popped a goal for the Green Wave.

’21 Ambush Danny Zabbia (Pace) pocketed a goal and had a pair of helpers for Hills West.
