It was a great day for milestones for a pair of Team 91 20 19 Orange standouts.
Christian Mulé (Duke), who recently broke the school record for points, barreled his way into the 300-point club, piecing together a five-assist, three-goal day as Half Hollow Hills West knocked off Babylon, 16-5. Not to be outdone, Kyle Munson eclipsed the 600-save mark for his career by making 10 stops as Calhoun doubled up Long Beach, 10-5.
Mulé’s eight-point day, his fifth game of eight or more points this year, gives him 75 points this year on the strength of 41 goals and 34 assists, good enough to be tied for fifth in points on Long Island. He has 303 career points. Munson has tossed aside 133 shots this year, including eight games of 10 or more saves.
Danny Zabbia (’21 Ambush) buried a pair of goals for Hills West, while Nick Turrini (’19 Orange/Army) had a goal and an assist to fuel Calhoun.
Kyle Munson eclipsed the 600-save mark for his career at Calhoun.
Bayport-Blue Point 17, Miller Place 1: Gavin LoCascio (’22 Smash) erupted for his first career hat trick and then some, finishing with four goals and an assist, and Jameson Smith (’22 Smash) added a hat trick and chipped in two assists as BBP rolled. James Ringer (’19 Orange/Rutgers) contributed a hat trick and an assist.
Eastport-South Manor 8, Mattituck/Southold 6: Ryan Huff (’19 Orange/Penn State) set up the game-winner as part of a three-assist, two-goal game to lead ESM. Dane Reda (’20 Crush) guided Mattituck with two goals and an assist.
St. Anthony’s 16, Kellenberg 10: Brennan O’Neill (’20 Crush/Duke) recorded his ninth hat trick of the season on the strength of a three-goal, one-assist day, Andrew McAdorey (’20 Crush) contributed two goals and two helpers and Aidan Danenza (’20 Crush/Duke) tacked on a goal and an assist as the Friars won their seventh straight game. Defensive midfielder Billy Gordon (’19 White) tossed out an assist for his first point of the season.
Bellport 12, Center Moriches 5: Shawn Wolf (’19 White/Saint Joseph’s) put forth a three-goal, two-assist day, LSM Robert Zahralban (’19 White/Alabama-Huntsville) netted two goals and James MacGilvray (’19 White/Western Connecticut State) chipped in two assists as Bellport cruised.
Manhasset 13, Carey 5: Chris Alcaraz‘s (’19 White) goal and assist guided a balanced Manhasset offense.
South Side 13, MacArthur 6: Brady West (’22 Smash) scored a goal in South Side’s win.
Delbarton 15, Madison 4: Trey Sacus (’21 Blaze) scored once in the Green Wave’s rout.
