John Sidorski is in rare company.
The Team 91 2019 Orange sniper, Lehigh commit and East Islip senior has been racking up the points like they’re going out of style for the past few years, and Wednesday, he entered the 300-point club with a two-goal, three-assist day as the Redmen hammered Bellport, 13-2.
Sidorski came into the game with 298 career points and now stands at 303, and he has 26 goals and 32 assists for 58 points this year.
Glenn 16, Half Hollow Hills West 14: Justin Tiernan (’19 Orange/Lehigh) put the squad on his back with six goals and two assists and Cory Capri (’20 Orange) added four goals and two helpers as Glenn took home a shootout. Christian Mulé (’19 Orange/Duke) and Danny Zabbia (’21 Ambush) each ripped home five goals for Hills West, which also got a goal from LSM Gerald Filardi (’19 Orange/Penn State).
St. Anthony’s 16, Loyola 7: Brennan O’Neill (’20 Crush/Duke) had four goals and an assist, Andrew McAdorey (’20 Crush) handed out three assists and Aidan Danenza (’20 Crush/Duke) added a goal and a helper as the Friars handled the Illinois power with ease. LSM Greg Campisi (’19 Orange/Harvard) handed out an assist and Daniel LePino (’20 Crush) made two saves in split duty.
Bayport-Blue Point 17, Babylon 0: James Ringer (’19 Orange/Rutgers) led the blowout with five goals and an assist, JJ Aiello (’23 Bandits) popped his second hat trick of the season and Jameson Smith (’22 Smash) paired two goals with two assists as BBP cruised. Defenseman Vin Orlando (’19 White/Hobart) tossed in a pair of goals, while Gavin LoCascio (’22 Smash) tacked on a goal and an assist.
Long Island Lutheran 14, Trinity 10: Jackson Greene (’23 Bandits) put up a career-high eight points on the strength of five assists and a hat trick for LI Lutheran.
Oceanside 13, East Meadow 8: Gunnar Johnson (’20 Orange) scored once to lead Oceanside, which won despite a herculean effort from Chris Barry (’21 Blaze), who scored five times and added an assist.
Mattituck/Southold 6, Deer Park 2: Parker Sheppard (’20 Orange) claimed 10 of 12 faceoffs and Dane Reda (’20 Crush) set up a pair of goals for Mattituck.
Port Jefferson 16, Miller Place 5: Jack Speidell‘s (’23 Bandits) first career hat trick kickstarted Port Jeff’s rout.
Seaford 8, Friends Academy 5: Andrew Searing (’20 Orange) tallied once for Seaford, while Michael Walrath (’21 Ambush) countered with a goal for Friends.
South Side 16, Baldwin 1: Brady West (’22 Smash) buried a goal in the rout.
Hill Academy 12, Brunswick School 11: Koby Ginder (’20 Crush/Princeton) was a force at the faceoff X for Brunswick, winning 17 of 22 faceoffs in a battle of two of North America’s best teams.
Westhampton 12, Rocky Point 3: Kyle Bonesteel (’19 White) had a goal and an assist and Teddy Accardi (’19 White/Air Force) found the back of the net once for Rocky Point.
Kellenberg 12, Kings Park 4: Christian Michaels (’19 White/UMBC) denied 15 shots sent his way for Kings Park.
Lynbrook 7, Bethpage 6: Brandon Bestany (’19 White/McDaniel) chipped in an assist for Bethpage.
