Nolan Wieczorek (Massapequa) dished out three assists in the championship game. Jett Stake (Lawrenceville, N.J.) was a brick wall in the cage. LSM Paulie DiBlasi (Seaford) caused a turnover on the Kings’ overtime possession to set up the game-winning goal from Spallina.
The Machine swept its pool play opponents, taking out Laxachusetts Yellow, 6-4, in the opener. They then beat the New Hampshire Tomahawks, 14-4, before handling Big 4 HHH, 12-3, to win their pool.
Coach Brian Spallina‘s team then fended off a great Crabs team, 5-4, in the quarterfinals. Stake was brilliant in a 3-2 win over Leading Edge in the semifinals to set up a third straight one-goal victory in the final.
