Ronan Fitzpatrick was on absolute fire for Towson on Saturday.

The Team 91 2023 Warriors product by way of Sayville continued his ridiculous start to the season by firing home six goals and adding a ground ball in the Tigers’ wild win over Delaware.

His last goal of the game tied it up with 29 seconds to go to send the game into overtime. Fitzpatrick has scored multiple goals in every game this year, and it was his third game of a hat trick or better.

’20 Orange Cory Capri (John Glenn / Hill School, Pa.) had an assist for the Blue Hens. He also added a takeaway and a ground ball.

Quinnipiac 8, Marist 7

’21 Blaze goalie Mason Oak (Comsewogue) was a man possessed in the Bobcats’ cage. He made a season-high 21 saves to go with two ground balls to help Quinnipiac to its second straight win. ’23 Warriors Cole Marsala (Mount Sinai) doled out an assist, while ’23 Warriors Nick Meoni (Sachem North) secured a ground ball for the Bobcats.

’21 Blaze defenseman Aiden McCaffrey (Comsewogue) corralled four ground balls and dislodged a pair of takeaways for the Red Foxes. ’23 Warriors LSM Michael Cassano (MacArthur) vacuumed up a trio of ground balls to go with a caused turnover.

Penn 9, Brown 8

’24 Wolfpack defenseman Dante Vardaro (St. Anthony’s) was a force for the Quakers. Vardaro picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers to pace Penn. ’23 Bandits Leo Hoffman (Brunswick, Conn.) handed out an assist in the win.

’22 Smash Marcus Wertheim (Smithtown East) netted four goals and added an assist for the Bears. He also tacked on two ground balls and a takeaway.

Harvard 14, Yale 11

’23 Bandits Jack Speidell (St. Anthony’s) paired two goals with two assists to go with a caused turnover as the Crimson topped the Bulldogs for the first time in the Gerry Byrne era.

’21 Blaze Mac Rodriguez (Chaminade) was excellent at the faceoff stripe for the Bulldogs. He won 19 of 27 faceoffs and picked up 10 ground balls.

Notre Dame 19, Michigan 7

’22 Smash Brock Behrman (Salisbury, Conn.) and ’23 Bandits Jordan Faison (Pine Crest, Fla.) each had a goal and an assist, while Faison added a takeaway and a ground ball as the Irish rolled.

Duke 16, Providence 10
Duke 13, Richmond 12

The Blue Devils picked up a pair of wins thanks in part to ’20 Crush Andrew McAdorey. The St. Anthony’s alum paired a goal with an assist against the Friars. He later added an assist and a ground ball as Duke won for the eighth time in nine games.

North Carolina 20, Jacksonville 7

’23 Bandits Owen Duffy (St. Anthony’s) continued his march toward an All-American nod with a whopping six goals, two assists, five ground balls and a takeaway as the Tar Heels moved to 6-1. ’20 Crush Ryan Levy (East Chapel Hill, N.C. / Taft, Conn.) tallied once and had an assist.

Penn State 22, Robert Morris 8

’24 Wolfpack Hunter Aquino (Academy of the New Church, Pa.) set up a pair of goals, scored one of his own and picked up two ground balls as the Nittany Lions stayed hot with a rout.

Boston University 13, Loyola 7

’24 Wolfpack defenseman Mikey Luce (Bayport-Blue Point) picked up a ground ball to help the Terriers cruise.

’22 Smash Brady West (South Side) scored once for the Greyhounds.

Bryant 12, Albany 11

’22 Smash defenseman Max Neeson (Pottsgrove, Pa.) grabbed a pair of ground balls and caused a turnover for the Great Danes. ’24 Wolfpack goalie Brady Smith (Bayport-Blue Point) tossed aside a baker’s dozen shots and collected five ground balls. ’23 Warriors James Reid (Sachem North) bagged a goal and picked up a ground ball for Albany.

Hofstra 13, Stony Brook 12

’22 Smash Anthony Mollica (Massapequa) set up teammate John Madsen for the overtime game-winner as the Pride knocked off the Seawolves in the Long Island Rivalry.

Mollica also did what he does best, snapping home a hat trick. He also scooped up three ground balls.

Maryland 12, Virginia 6

’21 Blaze Matt Keegan (Sachem North) helped the Terps stay perfect with a pair of goals and a ground ball.

Saint Joseph’s 12, Villanova 8

’23 Warriors Tyler Moore (Connetquot) bagged two goals and added an assist as the Hawks won their fifth straight after starting the season 0-2.

LIU 15, Mercyhurst 12

’23 Warriors goalie Brayden Wilcken (Mount Sinai) was rock-solid once again in the Sharks’ cage. Wilcken stuffed a dozen shots and snatched up a ground ball to lead LIU to its sixth straight win. ’21 Blaze defenseman AJ Volkmann (Mount Sinai) picked up two ground balls in the win.

Johns Hopkins 12, Navy 9

’23 Bandits Jack Ponzio (St. Anthony’s) buried a pair of goals, set up another and collected a pair of ground balls for the Midshipmen.

St. John’s 20, Mercer 16

’24 Wolfpack SSDM Maclin Keyser (Bayport-Blue Point) took the ball away once and snagged a ground ball to help the Red Storm pull away in a shootout. ’19 Orange SSDM Nick Turrini (Calhoun) picked up one ground ball in the win.

’21 Blaze Chris Cappelmann (Smithtown East) won the game’s opening faceoff and took it down for a goal. He finished with 12 faceoff wins and five ground balls for the Bears.

Dartmouth 17, Hobart 5

’21 Blaze Brandon Ventarola (Trinity-Pawling) found the back of the net once for the Big Green, who picked up their fifth straight win. He also tacked on a takeaway and grabbed a ground ball in the win.

Sacred Heart 11, Siena 10

’21 Ambush Ryan McCarthy (Northport) dished out a pair of helpers to go with a goal for the Saints.

’23 Warriors PJ Shanahan (Bayport-Blue Point) scored once to go with a ground ball against Canisius. He followed it up with a takeaway and a ground ball against Bellarmine.

’20 Crush Koby Ginder (Brunswick, Conn.) won a pair of faceoffs and grabbed two ground balls for the Tigers.

UMass 11, Rutgers 7

’23 Bandits JJ Aiello (Bayport-Blue Point) racked up an assist, a caused turnover and two ground balls for the Scarlet Knights.

Binghamton 14, UMass-Lowell 12

’23 Warriors Owen McIntee (St. Anthony’s) won a faceoff for the Riverhawks.

’21 Ambush Dan Zabbia (Half Hollow Hills West) ripped home six goals for the second time in three games and added a ground ball as the Setters raced past Assumption.

’21 Ambush Sam Rothman (Half Hollow Hills East) fired home four goals against Nazareth and two against Scranton to lead the Red Dragons to a pair of wins. He tacked on a combined three ground balls and also added an assist in the win over Nazareth.

’21 Ambush defenseman Aidan Bonn (Huntington) caused a trio of turnovers to help FDU pick up a pair of wins.

’23 Warriors Peter Urso (Bay Shore) handed out a pair of assists to go with an impressive three-caused turnover, one-ground ball day to spur the Cardinals.

Geneseo 16, Maritime 14

’21 Ambush goalie Andrew Tittmann (Northport) blocked a dozen shots sent his way to help the Knights pick up the win.

’24 Wolfpack Ryan Hannaford (Bayport-Blue Point) snapped home a hat trick and added two assists and two ground balls for the Privateers.

’21 Ambush Anthony Senecal (Patchogue-Medford) helped New Paltz to a split with a combined three goals, one takeaway and one ground ball.

’23 Warriors defenseman Ryan Thorne (Newfield) grabbed two ground balls and took the ball away once for USMMA.
