Jack Speidell is never going to stop scoring goals.
The Team 91 2023 Bandits sniper by way of St. Anthony’s has been an unstoppable force of late. He kept that going with five goals and an assist in Harvard‘s 13-6 win over Penn last Saturday.
The performance gave Speidell his fourth straight game of at least five goals. He’s scored 21 goals in that stretch, which is a good season for a lot of attackmen. The reigning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week showed off his all-around game against the Quakers, too, with four ground balls and two takeaways.
’24 Wolfpack defenseman Dante Vardaro (St. Anthony’s) had two ground balls and a takeaway for Penn.
Albany 15, Vermont 11
’22 Smash defenseman Max Neeson (Pottsgrove, Pa.) was an absolute force for the Great Danes. Neeson scored a goal, corralled five ground balls and caused four turnovers to lead Albany to a win.
’24 Wolfpack goalie Brady Smith (Bayport-Blue Point) stopped four shots and added a ground ball. ’22 Smash Alex Pfeiffer (Sachem North) handed out an assist, while ’23 Warriors James Reid (Sachem North) chipped in a ground ball for the Great Danes.
Siena 17, Quinnipiac 7
’21 Ambush Ryan McCarthy (Northport) was completely unstoppable for the Saints. The MAAC’s best passer doled out five more assists to go with three goals and two ground balls in a crucial win for Siena. ’24 Wolfpack SSDM Ryan Wilson (Shoreham-Wading River) picked up a ground ball in the victory.
’21 Blaze goalie Mason Oak (Comsewogue) stuffed a dozen shots to go with two ground balls for the Bobcats. Quinnipiac also got a goal, an assist, a takeaway and two ground balls from ’23 Warriors Cole Marsala (Mount Sinai). ’23 Warriors Nick Meoni (Sachem North) corralled five ground balls and added an assist. ’23 Bandits LSM Glenn Platania (St. Anthony’s) caused a turnover and grabbed a ground ball.
Yale 21, Dartmouth 12
’19 White goalie Jared Paquette (West Islip) helped the Bulldogs earn a spot in the Ivy League tournament with a nine-save, four ground-ball, one takeaway day. ’22 Smash defenseman Patrick Pisano (Cold Spring Harbor) also took the ball away once for Yale.
’21 Blaze Brandon Ventarola (Trinity-Pawling) secured a ground ball and took the ball away once for the Big Green.

’21 Blaze Matt Keegan (Sachem North) buried a hat trick to help the Terps knock off the Buckeyes in a top-10 showdown.

’23 Bandits Owen Duffy (St. Anthony’s) put forth a one-goal, one-assist day to lead the Tar Heels past their rivals for a key ACC win.
’20 Crush Andrew McAdorey (St. Anthony’s) grabbed a ground ball for Duke.
Penn State 10, Johns Hopkins 4
’24 Wolfpack Hunter Aquino (Academy of the New Church, Pa.) led the way for the Nittany Lions with a goal, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
’23 Bandits Luke Martin (St. Anthony’s) had a pair of takeaways and two ground balls while playing SSDM for the Blue Jays.

’21 Blaze defenseman Aiden McCaffrey (Comsewogue) caused two turnovers and grabbed three ground balls to help the Red Foxes clinch a berth in the MAAC championships. ’23 Warriors LSM Michael Cassano (MacArthur) was a vacuum on the ground with seven pickups.

’23 Warriors Ronan Fitzpatrick (Sayville) helped the Tigers fend off the Greyhounds’ upset bid with a goal and two assists. He flipped that stat line for Towson in the rout of Hampton.

’21 Blaze defenseman AJ Volkmann (Mount Sinai) took the ball away twice and grabbed two ground balls to lead a stingy Sharks’ defense.

’20 Crush Koby Ginder (Brunswick, Conn.) helped the Tigers stay hot with three faceoff wins and a pair of ground balls as Princeton tamed the Bears.
’22 Smash Marcus Wertheim (Smithtown East) snapped home a goal and added a ground ball for Brown. The Bears also got a faceoff win from ’24 Wolfpack Michael Moon (St. Anthony’s).

’22 Smash Joey Spallina (Mount Sinai) had a goal and a ground ball for ‘Cuse, which also got a goal from ’20 Crush Tyler Cordes (Connetquot). ‘2o Crush defenseman Nick Caccamo and ’23 Bandits Tyler McCarthy (Connetquot) each grabbed one ground ball for ‘Cuse.

’24 Wolfpack defenseman Mikey Luce (Bayport-Blue Point) racked up a trio of ground balls and caused a turnover for the Terriers. BU also got an assist from ’24 Wolfpack Ben Morris (Bayport-Blue Point).

’22 Smash Jack Flaherty (Chaminade) tallied twice, set up two goals, caused two turnovers and added a ground ball for the Midshipmen. ’23 Bandits Jack Ponzio (St. Anthony’s) scored two goals to go with an assist and two ground balls.

’21 Ambush defenseman Logan Schanars (Half Hollow Hills East) combined for two takeaways and three ground balls, while ’21 Ambush LSM Conner Gallagher (Northport) added one of each.
’21 Ambush Anthony Senecal (Patchogue-Medford) buried two goals against Cortland before adding a goal, an assist and two helpers against Plattsburgh.
’23 Warriors Peter Urso (Bay Shore) paired two goals with two assists to go with two ground balls and a caused turnover for Plattsburgh. He followed it up with two goals, an assist and three ground balls against New Paltz.

’24 Wolfpack Ryan Hannaford (Bayport-Blue Point) continued his great freshman season by putting up a combined eight goals and five assists as the Privateers swept their week. Hannaford torched Mount St. Mary for five goals and four assists after putting up three goals, a helper, two ground balls and a takeaway against Manhattanville.

’19 Orange Andrew Giovinco (Syosset) put forth a huge week for the Rams, finishing with six goals, four assists and a ground ball. He led the charge in a key win over USMMA with four goals and an assist.
