Jameson Smith is on the board!
The Team 91 2022 Smash midfielder by way of Bayport-Blue Point has battled some injuries in his time at Johns Hopkins. Saturday, though, he tallied his first career goal and also added an assist to help the Blue Jays roll past Michigan, 14-8, in Big Ten play.
’23 Bandits LSM Luke Martin (St. Anthony’s) was a force for Hopkins with four ground balls and a pair of takeaways.

’22 Smash Joey Spallina (Mount Sinai) picked the Hoyas apart to the tune of two goals, four assists and a takeaway to help the Orange sweep their Big East week. ’22 Smash Michael Leo (St. Anthony’s) torched Georgetown with five goals and a ground ball. ’24 Wolfpack LSM Vincent Bolognino (Harborfields) grabbed a ground ball.
Spallina put up a goal and an assist in the win over the Pioneers. Leo added an assist and a ground ball, Bolognino took the ball away once and snared a ground ball, and ’23 Bandits Tyler McCarthy (Connetquot) picked up a pair of ground balls.
’22 Smash SSDM James Carretta (Mount Sinai) caused a turnover for the Hoyas against the Orange after grabbing a ground ball as Georgetown doubled Loyola up.
’22 Smash Brady West (South Side) took control of a ground ball for the Greyhounds.

’22 Smash Marcus Wertheim (Smithtown East) popped off for a massive week in the Bears’ two wins. Wertheim burned the Riverhawks for four goals and two ground balls. He followed it up by racking up a three-goal, three-assist, one-ground ball day in Brown’s win over the Johnnies. ’24 Wolfpack faceoff midfielder Michael Moon (St. Anthony’s) won a faceoff against St. John’s.
’23 Warriors faceoff midfielder Owen McIntee (St. Anthony’s) won a faceoff and collected a ground ball for UMass-Lowell.

North Carolina 12, Army 11
’25 Shock Gary Merrill (St. Anthony’s) buried his first career hat trick to help the Tar Heels fend off the Black Knights’ upset bid. ’23 Bandits Owen Duffy (St. Anthony’s, one ground ball) handed out three assists, including one to ’25 Shock Anthony Raio (Half Hollow Hills West). Raio finished with two goals, an assist and a ground ball. ’25 Shock LSM Parker McDonald (St. Anthony’s) excelled off the carpet with five ground balls and a caused turnover.
Harvard 17, Dartmouth 14
’23 Bandits Jack Speidell (St. Anthony’s) was a force all over the stat sheet for the Crimson. The talented sniper had two goals and an assist, but also figured prominently off the ground (five ground balls) and on the ride (two caused turnovers) to keep Harvard unbeaten.

’24 Wolfpack Luke Breslin (St. Anthony’s) had a monster week for the Mountain Hawks. He tagged the Crusaders for four goals, two assists and three ground balls. Earlier in the week, he torched the Wildcats for a hat trick, an assist, three ground balls and a takeaway.
’22 Smash LSM Matt Sparhuber (Comsewogue) had a takeaway in both games for the Mountain Hawks. ’22 Smash goalie Bryce Pang (Deerfield, Mass.) was outstanding in relief in both games, stopping six of the seven shots on cage.

’24 Wolfpack Brady Smith (Bayport-Blue Point) kept his hot streak going by denying 11 shots and collecting a trio of ground balls to pace the Great Danes. ’22 Smash LSM Max Neeson (Pottsgrove, Pa.) snagged a pair of ground balls and caused two turnovers to lead a stingy defense in front of Smith. ’22 Smash faceoff midfielder Austin Oppenheim (Mount Sinai) won eight of 15 faceoffs to go with three ground balls and an assist. ’22 Smash Alex Pfeiffer (Sachem North) tossed in a goal for Albany. The Great Danes also got a faceoff win, a takeaway and a ground ball from ’23 Warriors James Reid (Sachem North).

’23 Warriors LSM Michael Cassano (MacArthur) put on a clinic with three takeaways and three ground balls to lead a banner defensive day from the Red Foxes. ’21 Blaze defenseman Aiden McCaffrey (Comsewogue) twice pilfered the ball away for Marist, which claimed its fifth straight win.

’24 Wolfpack defenseman Dante Vardaro (St. Anthony’s) led the Quakers’ staunch defense with six ground balls and a takeaway en route to a big Ivy win.
’22 Smash defenseman Patrick Pisano (Cold Spring Harbor) caused two turnovers and added three ground balls for the Bulldogs.

’23 Bandits Jack Ponzio (St. Anthony’s) set up a pair of goals and scored once to help the Midshipmen tame the Leopards.

’24 Wolfpack SSDM Ryan Wilson (Shoreham-Wading River) helped the Saints stay hot with a takeaway and a ground ball as Siena won its third straight. ’23 Bandits Nik Barbero (Ward Melville) pocketed a goal in the win.

’22 Smash Anthony Mollica (Massapequa) pocketed a pair of goals and handed out two assists to go with a ground ball for the Pride.

’23 Warriors Peter Urso (Bay Shore) put on a show for the Cardinals, tossing home a career-best seven goals and adding two assists for a career-high nine points as Plattsburgh doubled NEC up. Urso also grabbed three ground balls and caused a turnover in the win. Urso collected SUNYAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors.

’25 Hornets Thomas Keegan (Sachem North) lit it up to help WestConn to a pair of wins. He earned Little East Rookie of the Week honors for it. Keegan paired two goals with two assists, complete with four ground balls, against Mass. Maritime. Earlier in the week, he had a goal, a helper and three ground balls in the win over Farmingdale State. ’23 Warriors Cody Suhr (Sachem North) had a ground ball in both games and racked up a hat trick against Mass. Maritime. ’25 Hornets Joey D’Orazio (Sachem East) pocketed a pair of tallies to go with a ground ball against Mass. Maritime.
’25 Hornets defenseman Joey Zarcone (Northport) was a force for Oswego with matching three-ground ball, two-takeaway games.
’21 Ambush Casey Fortunato (Northport) was a stalwart for the Rams in both games, combining for three goals, three assists, five ground balls and two takeaways. ’23 Warriors Joey Forchelli (MacArthur) scored five times to go with two ground balls and a caused turnover.
