Brady Smith‘s already one of the best goalies in the America East. Turns out he can be a goal scorer, too.

The Team 91 2024 Wolfpack product by way of Bayport-Blue Point added longrange marksman to his résumé for Albany on Saturday. Smith fired home his first career goal the length of the field against a 10-man ride to cement the Great Danes’ 13-7 win over Bryant.

Smith was excellent at his usual day job, too, stopping a dozen shots and grabbing a ground ball in the win. ’22 Smash all-conference LSM Max Neeson (Pottsgrove, Pa.) wreaked havoc in front of Smith, causing a trio of turnovers and collecting a ground ball in the win. ’22 Smash faceoff midfielder Austin Oppenheim (Mount Sinai) won a pair of faceoffs and snared a ground ball for Albany.

Earlier in the week, Oppenheim put forth a superb 15-for-22, six-ground ball day in a 16-8 setback against Georgetown’25 Shock Matt Pettis (Massapequa) contributed a goal, a takeaway and a ground ball for the Great Danes, who also got three ground balls and a pair of takeaways from Neeson. Smith stopped 13 shots and picked up three ground balls, while ’23 Warriors James Reid (Sachem North) also vacuumed up a trio of ground balls.

Syracuse 17, Air Force 11

’22 Smash Joey Spallina (Mount Sinai) tossed out a career-best eight assists to help him move to fourth on Syracuse’s all-time scoring list in the Orange’s rout. Spallina and ’24 Wolfpack LSM Vincent Bolognino (Harborfields) also both tacked on a ground ball. ’22 Smash Michael Leo was the recipient of three of those Spallina assists en route to a superb five-goal, one-assist day. ’23 Bandits midfielder Tyler McCarthy (Connetquot) chipped in a pair of ground balls in the win.

Lehigh 15, Loyola 10

’24 Wolfpack Luke Breslin (St. Anthony’s) was superb in running the Mountain Hawks’ offense to the tune of four assists, two goals and a ground ball in a key Patriot League win. ’22 Smash LSM Matt Sparhuber (Comsewogue) caused a turnover and snagged a ground ball for Lehigh.

’22 Smash Brady West (South Side) snapepd home a goal for the Greyhounds.

Harvard 12, Penn 9

’23 Bandits Jackson Greene (St. Anthony’s) set up a goal to help the Crimson fend off the Quakers’ upset bid. ’23 Bandits Jack Speidell (St. Anthony’s) corralled three ground balls in the win.

’24 Wolfpack defenseman Dante Vardaro (St. Anthony’s) caused a turnover for Penn.

North Carolina 10, Penn State 8

’25 Shock Anthony Raio (Half Hollow Hills West) popped off for his first career hat trick and a ground ball as the Tar Heels nipped the Nittany Lions in a top-10 showdown. The St. Anthony’s offensive tandem of ’23 Bandits Owen Duffy and ’25 Shock Gary Merrill each added a goal and an assist. Fellow Friar ’25 Shock LSM Parker McDonald vacuumed up three ground balls and took the ball away once.

Binghamton 16, UMass-Lowell 9

’24 Wolfpack defenseman Aidan McMinn (Ward Melville) paced the Bearcats’ stout defense with a trio of caused turnovers.

’23 Warriors faceoff midfielder Owen McIntee (St. Anthony’s) pilfered two of his three faceoff opportunities and grabbed a ground ball in the process.

Johns Hopkins 14, Navy 10

’23 Bandits LSM Luke Martin (St. Anthony’s) took the ball away once and racked up a trio of ground balls to pace the Blue Jays.

’24 Wolfpack LSM Pat Flaherty (Chaminade / Salisbury, Conn.) had three ground balls in both games for the Midshipmen. ’23 Bandits Jack Ponzio (St. Anthony’s) tallied once, added an assist and a ground ball against Hopkins. ’22 Smash Jack Flaherty (Chaminade) set up a goal against Hopkins and added a ground ball in the win over the Dolphins.

Notre Dame 9, Michigan 4

’22 Smash Brock Behrman (Salisbury, Conn.) was the offensive spark for the Irish with two goals and two assists. He also added a takeaway and a ground ball to round out the stat line.

Maryland 13, Virginia 12

’25 Shock Matty Higgins (Boys’ Latin, Md.) had his third straight two-assist game to go with a goal for a career-best three points as the Terps toppled the ‘Hoos in triple overtime. ’19 Orange defenseman Mikey Alexander (West Islip) picked up a ground ball in the win.

Marist 10, Merrimack 9

’23 Warriors LSM Michael Cassano (MacArthur) took the ball away once and grabbed a ground ball to help the Red Foxes to an overtime win. ’21 Blaze defenseman Aiden McCaffrey (Comsewogue) corralled a pair of ground balls in the win.

Rutgers 21, Bellarmine 8

’23 Bandits JJ Aiello (Bayport-Blue Point) had his first multi-goal game of the year with a pair of tallies as Rutgers rolled.

LIU 20, Wagner 6

’21 Blaze SSDM Ryan Baudo (St. Anthony’s) caused a turnover to headline a strong defensive day from the Sharks.

Mercer 12, St. John’s 11

’21 Blaze faceoff midfielder Chris Cappelmann (Smithtown East) won 13 of 25 faceoffs, complete with five ground balls and a caused turnover, to lead the Bears.

’23 Warriors PJ Shanahan (Bayport-Blue Point) tallied twice, caused a turnover and grabbed a ground ball in the Bonnies’ overtime win. He later chipped in a goal and three ground balls against the Hawks.

’23 Warriors Cole Marsala (Mount Sinai) guided the Bobcats’ offense with a hat trick, an assist and two ground balls. ’23 Warriors Nick Meoni (Sachem North) put forth a one-goal, one-assist, one-takeaway day for Quinnipiac.

’22 Smash Marcus Wertheim (Smithtown East) handed out a pair of assists for the Bears.

’22 defenseman Patrick Pisano (Cold Spring Harbor) nearly willed the Bulldogs to an upset of the Tigers with four ground balls and a takeaway.

’25 Hornets goalie Gavin Stabile (Northport) denied seven shots sent his way in a half of work for Lenoir-Rhyne.

’25 Hornets Scott Triolo (Northport) racked up a ground ball for LMU.

’25 Hornets Joey D’Orazio (Sachem East) headlined the rout of New Paltz with a goal, two helpers and a ground ball. ’25 Hornets Thomas Keegan (Sachem North) set up two goals to go with two ground balls and a takeaway, while ’23 Cody Suhr (Sachem North) netted a pair of goals. He added a hat trick and three ground balls against Vassar. Keegan chipped in two goals, two ground balls and a pair of takeaways, while D’Orazio racked up an assist and three ground balls.

Geneseo 14, Maritime 11

’24 Wolfpack Ryan Hannaford (Bayport-Blue Point) went off for the Privateers, scoring four times, setting up another and vacuuming up three ground balls.

’23 Warriors defenseman Ryan Thorne (Newfield) racked up a combined six ground balls and added a takeaway against Springfield for USMMA.

’25 Hornets defenseman Joey Zarcone (Northport) was a force in the Lakers’ sweep. He burnt Brockport for four ground balls and caused three turnovers before hitting Poly for three ground balls and a takeaway. ’25 Hornets Nick Spinner (Northport) tallied once against Brockport.

Plattsburgh 18, Vermont State Castleton 8

’23 Warriors Peter Urso (Bay Shore) headlined the rout of Castleton with four goals, two helpers, three ground balls and a takeaway. Urso also supplied a pair of goals against Clarkson.

Tufts 16, Denison 6

’24 Menace LSM Khari Freeman (Poly Prep) took the ball away once and snared three ground balls for Denison.
