Team 91's Elite HS teams took two out of four championships this past weekend at the 2nd Annual Adrenaline Platinum Cup at Plymouth Whitemarsh HS in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Team 91 had four teams, 2016 Orange, 2017 Orange, 2018 Extreme and 2019 Orange in this year's event.

The shorthanded 2016 Orange team, playing undermanned all weekend due to players missing for ACT and Chaminade Board testing, bowed out in the semifinals to a tough Mesa Fresh (PA) team 12-10.  The boys went 3-1 in pool play defeating Dukes (PA), Leading Edge (NJ) and Crabs (MD) and lost to West Coast Starz (CA).  It was a great showing by the boys, several of whom recently made the Under Armour Long Island Underclass team.

The 2017 Orange team lost in the championship game to a very tough Leading Edge (NJ) team.  The 2017 boys had previously defeated Leading Edge in pool play.  The 2017's defeated Dukes (PA) 9-3, Leading Edge (NJ) 8-3 and lost to PrimeTime (NY) 7-2 in pool play.  In the first round of the playoffs, the boys defeated Primetime in the rubber match 6-3 and a tough Crabs (MD) team 10-9 before losing to Leading Edge 8-6 in the championship.

In the first championship of the day, the 2018 Extreme defeated Laxachusetts (MA) 11-7 in the champhioship in a rematch of a game they had previously lost.  The Extreme team finished pool play 2-1 defeating Express (NY) 9-6 and Dukes (PA) 8-5) before losing to Laxachusetts in Saturday's nightcap 7-4.  In playoffs, the Extreme team defeated Dukes (PA) 8-5, Leading Edge (NJ) 6-3 and Crabs (MD) 9-7 before eventually being rematched against a tough Laxachusetts team.  The championship was an 11-7 win for the boys who battled all weekend even though they were missing several key players.
